The fan vote for the MLB All-Star game concluded yesterday, and while the Braves had several candidates up for consideration, none were named starters other than Ronald Acuña, who had already made it after being the leading vote getter during phase one of the voting. Acuña will be starting in the All-Star game for the second time in his career, becoming just the fourth Braves player to start in multiple All-Star games before turning 25.
Ronald Acuña Jr. will be the 4th Braves player to start multiple All-Star Games before turning 25, joining Henry Aaron, Eddie Mathews & Joe Torre

Of all the candidates that were finalists for a starting position, the only one I’m upset about being snubbed is Dansby Swanson. He has undoubtedly been the best shortstop in the National League so far this season and was deserving of the honer, even if Trea Turner has also been remarkable.
Hopefully, Swanson and others will be selected as reserves. Travis d’Arnaud, William Contreras, and Austin Riley are also very deserving candidates to make their first All-Star game, and I expect at least one of them will, if not multiple.
